We had Visitors!!!

So this weekend Nick and I had visitors!
Kim and Harrison
Our (American) friends Kim and Harrison are studying abroad in Ireland for the semester, so they decided to pop on over to Spain for a weekend in the Costa Del Sol (so awesome that you can just do that when you live in Europe!!)

They were quite excited to be in 60-something degree weather with the warm sun shining and sunny out all day, because in Ireland it's quite cold, averaging 6°C (42°F) daily and constantly raining/drizzling. They kept telling us how they haven't seen sun in about 4 months!

So naturally we took them to the beach (in December!!)
Not the only visitors lounging on the beach at the Malagueta

Went to the beach in Benalmadena just in time for the gorgeous sunset!

We stopped at random Spanish street fairs and vendors and bought souvenirs
Kiosks set up selling Christmas decorations and gag gifts

An artisan fair down the block from our piso

We showed them the sights of Malaga
Nick Kim and Harrison admiring the city from a birds eye view

The four of us enjoying the Malaga sunset

The sun setting over the Malagueta where
we were lounging at the beach earlier
Nick made us a delicious chicken parm dinner

Cooking
yummmm

and of course we did the Spanish thing and took siesta then hit the bars, dancing the night away to slammin 90's American jams like The Spice Girls, and Backstreet Boys!

Harrison loved those rum and cokes!

"Smell ya drink!"

It was sad to see them go, it was a nice taste of home to see friends for even just a few days when living in a foreign country halfway across the world.

More visitors welcome, please!!

And today Nick and I are off to Geneva Switzerland for 6 days. Man it's great to live in Europe!
