So on Nick's last Sunday here in Spain we embraced the Spanish culture and treated ourselves to a delicious Sunday lunch and afterward took a leisurely stroll around the city.
We decided to go down the narrow roads and streets of Malaga Centro which we've passed countless times before, but never wandered down.
It's amazing the little details you notice when you actually look up! (but watch out for the dog doo doo that's everywhere!)
At every church we passed, displayed right next to the front door, was a miniature statue of a Saint or Mary in a small window
A random fountain we stumbled across; which happens to be right across from the bar we usually go to, down the block from our piso, but we never noticed it before!
(Nick used this to attempt to clean off the dung he stepped in!)
The gorgeous designs in the ground
But some of the most interesting things we came across were some of the writings and graffiti on the walls.
"Los imposibles tambien existen" << Impossible things also exist >>
<< Malga, the martini of the sea >>
This mural was on a wall near the Malaga University << Who needs art when you can make love >>
If you look closely she has a toe tag and her stomach is ripped apart
What's your interpretation on this one, we were bewildered!
And one of my all time favorite Malaga-quotes-on-a-wall:
![]() |
"Ser, nada mas. Y basta" << Just be. Nothing more >>
It's amazing the random beauty you can find when you just look.
